General Information
- UNT Network - Secure Network (Preferred)
- Eduroam - Secure Network allowing students, faculty, and staff to access wireless networks at participating Universities.
- Eaglenet - Open Network - This system is not secure and is NOT intended for internet activity that may involve private/personal data.
- ResNet - Only for UNT Housing residents.
- The UNT Network is encrypted whereas the EagleNet network is not.
- The UNT Network with save your login configuration so you do not have to login every time you connect to the Wi-Fi system.
Online privacy and information security is multifaceted. Please make sure your device drivers, software, and virus protection is up-to-date. Be aware of your physical surroundings to ensure that your screen is not visible to others when your screen may display sensitive information. Wi-Fi Configuration
The standard login for the UNT Network, Eaglenet, and Eduroam wireless networks is your UNT EUID and Password. Contact technical support for assistance.
The ResNet network is only available to UNT Housing residents and may require specific credentials. Contact ResNet Support for more information.
- Open your Android settings menu. This is usually found in the app tray or through a gear icon on the top right of the homescreen menu.
- Search for "Wi-Fi" and select "Wi-Fi settings" from the results (you can navigate to this manually through "settings->network & internet")
- Select the Wi-Fi menu (might be under "Connections")
- Make sure "Wi-Fi" is toggle to "On"
- Find and select "UNT" in the list of available networks. (If UNT does not appear in the list, you might be out of signal range. Please try from an academic building on the Denton UNT campus)
- A connection prompt will appear that will ask for the following:
- EAP Method = "PEAP"
- Phase 2 authentication = "MSCHAPV2"
- CA certificate = "Do not validate"
- Identity = your UNT EUID
- Anonymous Identity = leave blank
- Password = Your UNT EUID Password
- Domain Name = "unt.edu" (not all Android phones ask for this)
- Click the Save button and your device will establish a connection to the UNT Wi-Fi network.
- Click the "Start menu"'
- Search for "Wi-Fi" and select "Wi-Fi settings" from the results (you can navigate to this manually through "settings->network & internet")
- Make sure the "Wi-Fi" button is toggle to "On"
- Click "Show available networks"
- Find and select "UNT" in the list. (If UNT does not appear in the list, you might be out of signal range. Please try from an academic building on the Denton UNT campus)
- Enter your UNT EUID and password into the login prompt.
- Click the OK button and your device will establish a connection to the UNT Wi-Fi network.
- Open the "Settings" app.
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Select the network labeled "UNT"
- Enter your EUID in the username field, and your password in the password field.
- On the "Certificate" page, tap "Trust" to accept the certificate.
- After up to 15 seconds, you will be connected to the UNT wireless network.

- Open your Start Menu and search for Control Panel.
- Select Network and Internet and then Network and Sharing Center.
- On the left, choose Change adapter settings.
- Right-click on your wireless device and choose Properties.
- From the list, highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
- Select the radio buttons to Obtain and IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
- Click OK
